Cary E. Hiltgen is a founding member and shareholder of Hiltgen & Brewer, P.C. Cary has over 35 years of experience in areas of product liability, insurance coverage and bad faith, and commercial and transportation defense litigation.
Mr. Hiltgen and the firm have represented a number of national and international corporations, serving as local, regional, and national trial counsel.
Mr. Hiltgen is AV peer rated preeminent and has garnered numerous honors and awards for his national litigation experience. Cary has been recognized in the Who's Who Legal "The International Who's Who of Production Liability Lawyers" and "The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers." Cary has also been recognized as an Oklahoma Super Lawyer for over 10 years.
Mr. Hiltgen has tried cases in both state and federal courts around the country. He received the DRI Leadership Award in October 2003, the DRI Service Award in October 2006, and the Terex Corporation Outstanding Product Liability Attorney Award in 2003 and 2006.
Over the years, Mr. Hiltgen has lectured at various seminars on a broad range of subjects. He also has authored numerous articles and legal summaries for national and international publications. Teaching trial technique courses for IADC and other state and national seminars and academies, Mr. Hiltgen is assisting the next generation of trial attorneys fine tune their craft.
Mr. Hiltgen is a long-time active member of DRI. He has both served on and worked with DRI’s Board of Directors and Law Institute. Mr. Hiltgen has been the President, First President, and Second President of DRI. Mr. Hiltgen is also a member of the Product Liability Advisory Counsel, International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), Trucking Industry Defense Association, and the Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel.
