DONALD P. MOLONEY, II is a member of Sturgill, Turner, Barker & Moloney, PLLC, a litigation firm in Lexington, Kentucky. A litigator for more than three decades, Pat’s early legal practice focused on insurance defense, personal injury and products liability, and his practice has evolved to include the defense of long-term care companies, hospitals and health care providers. He is an experienced trial lawyer, having tried many medical malpractice cases to jury verdict and defended numerous personal injury cases over the course of his legal career.
Pat became a certified mediator in 1992, and has since mediated more than a thousand cases involving contract and business disputes, personal injury, medical malpractice and nursing home claims.
Pat’s legal accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. He has been recognized as a Best Lawyer in America in the areas of Medical Malpractice Litigation: Defendants and Personal Injury Litigation: Defendants, as well as a Kentucky Super Lawyer in the areas of Personal Injury Defense: Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury Defense: General and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Pat has been a member of the DRI for 30 years, and serves as the Kentucky Representative of the Defense Research Institute, Inc. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Kentucky Access to Justice Commission and the Association of Attorney-Mediators. He is a past president of the Kentucky Defense Counsel and has been inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers—one of the premier legal associations in North America. Pat is also a member of the Fayette County, Kentucky and American Bar Associations
