James R. Courie is a founding member and managing partner of McAngus Goudelock & Courie LLC in Columbia, South Carolina. Since its inception in 1995, the firm has grown from four lawyers to more than 75 lawyers in five cities. Mr. Courie’s practice focuses on representing individuals, businesses and associations in local, state and federal legislative and procurement matters. He is a past president of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association and currently serves as Vice Chair of DRI’s Law Practice Management Committee.
