MICHAEL C. MILLS
Mr. Mills is a 1983 graduate of the University of Utah College of Law. Upon graduation, Mr. Mills served on active duty with the U.S. Army in the Judge Advocate General's Corps. In 2005 he retired from the Nevada National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel with 22 years of service. Upon retirement he held the position of the Nevada State Judge Advocate.

Mr. Mills is a member of both the State Bar of Nevada and the Utah State Bar. He is licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of Nevada and Utah, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Mr. Mills practices in the area of civil litigation and appeals, with particular experience in matters involving insurance coverage, insurance defense, trucking liability, premises liability, products liability, and defense of personal injury. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Trucking Insurance Defense Association. He is also a member of the Nevada Motor Transport Association and the Utah Trucking Association. He is general counsel for the Nevada Trucking Association.

Mr. Mills also acts as a neutral mediator and arbitrator, helping others resolve their disputes. Mr. Mills acts as a Judge Pro Tempore in the Nevada Short Trial Program. He is certified to arbitrate and mediate disputes assigned through the Nevada Court-Annexed Alternative Dispute Resolution Program. He is formally trained as a mediator. Mr. Mills is also a Small Claims Referee for the Justice Court, Las Vegas Township.
