Bruce is a technology-oriented litigation attorney with substantial experience handling business, insurance, and environmental litigation and defending high-stakes personal injury and wrongful death cases. A high premium is placed on providing excellent client satisfaction, problem solving, and preemptive legal work. Bruce also is a trained mediator registered on the Alabama State Court Mediator Roster.

During over thirty years of law practice, Bruce has tried insurance and commercial disputes, fraud cases, environmental claims, and wrongful death and personal injury cases. He served as national coordinating counsel for a pharmaceutical company in the phen-fen litigation, and serves as state or regional counsel for a number of companies, including product manufacturers who make vehicles, agricultural and construction equipment, and electrical and process automation equipment. Bruce serves as Alabama panel coverage counsel for several insurers and advises clients on matters involving environmental issues and commercial disputes. He also has significant experience representing European clients in U.S. commercial disputes and tort litigation.

Bruce has served on the DRI Board of Directors (Southeast Region Director) and is a Past President of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), listed in Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America (Bet-the-Company Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Environmental Litigation, Insurance Law, and Product Liability Litigation), in “MidSouth Super Lawyers” by Law & Politics, and as a “Local Star” by Benchmark Litigation. He is an active member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) and the ADTA. He currently serves on the ADTA Executive Council. Bruce also has been active in the Alabama State Bar, having served on the Character and Fitness Committee for many years. Bruce is admitted to practice in all State and Federal courts in Alabama, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First, Fifth, Sixth and Eleventh Circuits and the United States Supreme Court. He has tried cases in 5 states and litigated matters in courts in 20 states and Canada.
