Karen is a AVP, Complex Claim Manager, in the Business Torts Claim Group at Travelers, where she has worked since 2000. Her duties include management of the dedicated Major Case Specialists (MCS) and Complex Case Specialists (CCS) responsible for handling and resolving claims tendered under Travelers CyberFirst Technology and Manufacturer Errors and Omissions Liability, Communications and Media Liability and Network and Information Security Liability products. Additionally, she oversees the handling of CGL claims involving intellectual property issues, as well as claims that can be characterized as business disputes. She provides advice and counsel to Technology and other internal business partners regarding litigation trends and legislative developments. She also provides collaborative assistance in the areas of strategic planning, new product development, training and marketing.

Prior to joining Travelers, Karen was a litigation partner in the Minneapolis, Minnesota law firm of Rider, Bennett, Egan & Arundel. During her nine years in private practice, Karen practiced in the areas of insurance coverage and civil and commercial litigation.
