Now a full-time mediator, J.K. Leonard maintained a broad litigation practice for over 33 years. Handling civil cases involving product liability, catastrophic personal injury, insurance, business/commercial matters and the defense of professional liability claims against attorneys, accountants, architects and engineers, he represented manufacturers of recreational products, electrical supply and distribution products, process automation equipment, construction and agricultural equipment, industrial equipment, automotive systems and accessories and consumer goods. A two-time chairman of ALFA International, a global legal network comprised of 140 law firms over 50 countries based in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Leonard is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, a fellow of the San Antonio Bar Foundation and is a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC), the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), Texas Association of Defense Counsel (TADC) and numerous other professional organizations.
