Rose Miller is an accomplished trial attorney and former in-house counsel and claims manager whose innovative alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods have been proven to significantly reduce litigation, legal expense and risk for her clients. Her specialty is early case assessment and the innovative use of ADR tools to strategically reduce high volume case inventories and resolve individual, high exposure claims and lawsuits at a fraction of the cost of traditional litigation. From 2001 to 2008 Rose developed and managed a pre-suit ADR program that helped former company, The Home Depot, reduce their new lawsuit volume by nearly 40% and save millions of dollars in avoided litigation costs and reserves. Convinced that these practices, in conjunction with a strong litigation philosophy to defend matters that cannot be settled early had broad application and potential for other clients, Rose launched ADR Solutions in 2009. For the past six years, ADR Solutions has offered customized early dispute resolution services to other businesses seeking to reduce litigation expense, shorten matter cycle time and lower their overall claim and lawsuit volume. The company's unique “turn-key” mediation convening and execution process partners with clients' existing claims administration to successfully convene over 90% of matters assigned and resolve over 80% of cases mediated. Rose personally brings to each client her extensive evaluation, advocacy and negotiation skills resulting in over 3000 settled cases nationwide. ADR SOLUTIONS’ client list includes several major national retailers, restaurant and hospitality companies, service providers, and product manufacturers facing exposure to claims asserting personal injury from premises and products liability, transportation-related incidents, property damage/commercial losses and various other categories of disputes, including those presenting catastrophic losses.
Rose is past Chair of the ADR Committee for the Defense Research Institute and is the current liaison between DRI’s Retail and Hospitality and the Women in the Law Committees. She is also a member of the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.
Before founding ADR SOLUTIONS Rose served as Director, General Liability at The Home Depot and is also an AV rated attorney with extensive litigation and trial experience from her career with Atlanta-based Hawkins & Parnell LLC, where she was a partner of the firm. She is currently licensed to practice in Georgia and is a trained mediator, with mediation and claim/litigation management experience in nearly every major United States market. Rose is a 1992 graduate of the Wake Forest University School of law and received her BS degree from Vanderbilt University.
