Member Bio
Christopher A. Callanan concentrates his trial practice on the defense of employment, business, and negligence matters throughout the United States. He also has experience in Sports Law, having represented Olympic athletes, national governming bodies, sports agents and sponsors of athletes and sporting events.
Mr. Callanan is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and Boston College Law School. He is admitted to practice in the federal and state courts in Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island and New Hampshire; the Federal Courts of Vermont and Connecticut; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit; and the United States District Court.
He is a Member of the DRI Employment Committee, Sports Law SLG, the Massachusetts Defense Laywers Association's Labor & Employment and Product Liability Committees and serves on the Massachusetts Bar Associations Labor & Employment Section Council. He has been a regular contributor to the IADC Employment Law Newsletter and co-presented the IADC Trial Tactics Webinar: Depositions 101: Deposing the Plaintiff's Treating Physician. He is the Co-Chair of Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education's semi-annual Taking Depositions Workshop and annual Advanced Depositions Workshop.
