Robert D. Meyers is a member of Glankler Brown, PLLC located in Memphis, Tennessee. Robert focuses his practice on representing public and private Employers in all aspects of Employment Law.

Since 1998, I have focused my practice on exclusively representing employers in labor and employment matters. In my current practice, I counsel public and private employers regarding compliance with local, state and federal employment laws, including matters related to the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Genetic Nondiscrimination Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, the Tennessee Human Rights Act and the Governmental Tort Liability Act. I also represent employers in state and federal court defending them against claims that they violated these or other statues, including claims for wrongful termination, breach of employment contract, violation of non-compete agreements or the like. Additionally, I have extensive experience representing public employers from claims brought under Title VII, Section 1981 and Section 1983. Finally, I have also represent employers before appellate courts in Tennessee and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Robert is a member of the Memphis, Tennessee and American Bar Associations and is active in DRI’s Employment Law and Governmental Liability Committees. Robert is also a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.

Robert is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization and the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification.
