Christopher T. (Chris) Sheean is a partner and Chair of the firm's Commercial Litigation and Class Action Practice Groups with Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP in Chicago, IL. He has extensive litigation experience in a variety of state and federal jurisdictions, and has served as lead counsel on a number of appeals. He has both prosecuted and defended injunctive actions and matters of equity in bench proceedings. He is rated AV by Martindale Hubble. Chris serves corporate and individual clients in the areas of business litigation and intellectual property. His clients are manufacturers, large and small businesses, and professionals. He has litigated matters involving claims of copyright and trademark infringement, licensing issues, product defect, breach of contract, construction defect and delay, insurance coverage and insurer bad faith. Chris is the Chair of DRI's Commercial Litigation Committee and also involved in the Intellectual Property Committee. Chris was born in Detroit, MI and raised in Arizona. He earned a BA Degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ, and a JD from the University of Arizona College of Law. He served as a law clerk to the to the Honorable Dennis DeConcini in the U.S. Senate Judiciary subcommittee on Patents, Copyrights & Trademarks, and has been practicing law in the Chicago area since 1992.
