Matt Wagman concentrates his practice on the litigation of personal injury, property damage and commercial business disputes. Since joining Miles & Stockbridge in 2000, Matt has acted as both National Coordinating Counsel and Regional Counsel for numerous manufacturing clients litigating and managing cases related to mass and toxic tort matters arising out of exposures to such substances as asbestos, silica, vinyl chloride, wood dust, metal dust, benzene, hazardous chemicals and other allegedly toxic substances covered by OSHA and EPA regulations. While much of his practice has focused on the litigation of mass/toxic tort matters, products liability, and premises liability, Matt also regularly represents financial institutions in all levels of consumer credit card disputes ranging from state and federal lawsuits, class action litigation, and alternative dispute resolution.

Additionally, for the last several years, Matt has also developed an international manufacturer/supplier cost recovery practice aimed at the recovery of costs incurred by clients as a result of defects in component parts, materials, or even complete products the client purchased from separate suppliers, which are often valued business partners of the client. Matt works with these clients to enforce their indemnity rights, while at the same time minimizing the impact on the more important overall business relationship. Finally, Matt also represents clients in insurance coverage litigation – representing policyholders (including a number of large publicly traded and privately held companies) in insurance coverage and/or insurance-related disputes arising out of a variety of insurance policies.
