Marie-Claude Simard is a leader providing strategic advice to upper management, engineers, marketing teams related to risk management, safety messaging and recall campaigns. She is currently Manager, Product Safety for BRP.
BRP has 20, 000 employees, is operating 12 manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe and Australia and is selling in more than 120 countries.
She is involved with all the portfolio of products which comprises Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles, Sea-Doo watercraft, Can-Am On- and Off-Road vehicles, Alumacraft, Manitou, Quintrex boats and Rotax marine propulsion systems as well as Rotax engines for karts and recreational aircraft.
Her experience includes the deployment of recalls in numerous countries including Canada, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, EU, UK, Russia, Australia and New Zealand.
Marie-Claude’s responsibilities also include providing safety training to create an adequate awareness amongst employees.
She is also an instructor for various programs aimed at developing strong product safety professionals and leaders in collaboration with the Saint Louis University Chaifetz School of Business in the United States and is the in-house chair of the Manufacturer’s Risk specialized litigation group at the Defense Research Institute (DRI).
