Member Bio

Chris attended the University of Missouri at Columbia, receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree, Summa Cum Laude, in political science and philosophy in 1993. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1996. At UMKC, he served as technical editor of the UMKC Law Review and was a contributing member to The Urban Lawyer journal. Chris is licensed to practice in Missouri (1996) and Kansas (1997) and is a member of the bars of the U.S. District Courts of Kansas and the Western District of Missouri.
Chris has first-chair and second-chair jury trial experience in both the state and federal courts of Missouri and Kansas. He has briefed and argued appeals before the Missouri Supreme Court, Missouri Western District Court of Appeals,the Kansas Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit. His professional memberships include: Defense Research Institute; Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers; Kansas Association of Defense Counsel; Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association; Kansas Bar Association; and Johnson County Bar Association. His civil practice areas include governmental liability/civil rights, personal injury litigation, insurance defense, and property/casualty and products liability claims defense.
He lives in Olathe, Kansas with his wife, Kimberly, and children, Benjamin and Claire.
