Member Bio

Jon A Hammerbeck has been a member of the firm since October of 2000, and has been a partner since 2006. He is a member of the State Bar of California, along with having Federal Bar memberships with the United States Supreme Court, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Eastern, Central and Southern District Courts of California. He is a certified mediator. He is a member of the mediation panel for San Diego Superior Court. His practice includes construction, tort, real property and mediation matters.

He is an active member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) Construction Law committee. He is a member of the DRI Construction Law Steering Committee, and is a chair of the Construction Community Group as well. He has published multiple articles in DRI publications, including articles on expert witness practice, trends in construction law, green building litigation and elder abuse arbitration issues.

He has been a presenter at conferences and seminars on a variety of topics held by Associated Defense Counsel of Southern California, Beverly Hills Bar Association and Associated Claims Conference.
