Stephanie Gaston Poley has been practicing defense litigation in the Raleigh office of Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (CSH Law) since 2003. CSH Law is one of the largest law firms in North Carolina and has offices located across the state in Charlotte, Raleigh, and Wilmington. Stephanie currently serves as the Chair of the firm’s Retail, Restaurant and Hospitality Practice Group and the Vice Chair of the firm’s Premises Liability Practice Group.

Stephanie has represented individuals and companies in a wide variety of general liability matters pending in federal court and North Carolina state court, including motor vehicle negligence, products liability claims, premises liability cases, and business disputes. Her practice is increasingly focused on serving clients in the retail, restaurants and hospitality industries.

In addition to obtaining favorable results for clients in litigation before at trial, Stephanie has successfully negotiated favorable settlements for numerous clients in a variety of civil litigation matters.

Since 2012, Stephanie has served as a member of the Steering Committee for DRI’s Retail & Hospitality Litigation and Claims Management Seminar, and she served as the Marketing Chair for the Retail and Hospitality Seminar in 2014. Stephanie currently serves as the Women in the Law SLC Liaison for the Retail & Hospitality Committee.

Stephanie is a 2003 graduate of Campbell Law School and received her BA degree in Music from Furman University. She was selected by North Carolina Super Lawyers® as a North Carolina Rising Star in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.
