Member Bio
David Campbell has grown his cross-border practice to include the defense of corporate clients in the areas of product liability, toxic tort, pharmaceutical, and commercial litigation. David has been to trial in Michigan, Tennessee and Pennsylvania and has served in national discovery and regional litigation counsel roles for automotive, industrial, healthcare, and retail clients.

Through his efforts as a judicial intern for the Michigan Supreme Court and a law clerk for the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission, David's litigation savvy is complemented by a strong understanding of the appellate realm and professional ethics.

A true international lawyer, David is also licensed as a barrister and solicitor with the Law Society of Upper Canada, where he currently serves as solicitor of record in complex Canadian litigation pending from British Columbia to Nova Scotia. Preparing cases for trial across North America, David has developed a strong understanding of state, provincial, and federal law and procedure within multiple jurisdictions.

Dedicated to serving the community, David is legal counsel to his local chamber of commerce and is a volunteer mediator with the Wayne Mediation Center in domestic, special education, and probate matters. In addition to his pro bono work, David spent four years as a member of the Lakeshore Police Services Board and currently serves as an associate director with the Harrow and Colchester South Agricultural Society. Outside the courtroom, David holds an adjunct professor position at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law teaching tort law to second year students. David is married (to his college sweetheart, a veterinarian) with two young sons and lives on a small hobby farm in rural Essex County.

Firm Information
Do you want solutions? You can get them from Bowman and Brooke. We solve problems all day, every day.

We bring a broad spectrum of perspectives, experience and skills to bear on our clients' problems. We are dauntless, tireless advocates in the courtroom, in the boardroom, and at the bargaining table. We are craftsmen and women, with a commitment to getting solutions in which we and our clients take great pride. Partners, associates, legal assistants, and other professionals work together in tightly knit, efficient teams, offering seamless attention, complete accountability and exceptionally cost-effective solutions to client problems, from the smallest nuisance to a bet-the-company case.

We do it by getting our hands dirty. We know the law. We know the way products work, the way deals are done, the way complex litigation can be controlled, the way to attack class actions, the way thousands of claims can be processed efficiently, the way huge amounts of information can be managed, organized, and accessed, the way intellectual property gets protected or abused and the way employee relations can go smoothly or go sour. What we don't know, we learn. Clients like what we deliver, so we are constantly being asked to do more, to enter new fields and to solve new types of problems. We love that. So when we find something we don't know, we roll up our sleeves and dig in. Then, we bring order to chaos. We do all this with one goal in mind, the client's goal: to get the problem solved.

Our people are sought after by companies of all sizes, including some of the largest in the world, and by small companies and individuals because of our attitude, our knowledge, our skill and our guts. We have what it takes to stand in front of juries and try the toughest cases, to wear down the toughest negotiators, to craft the most intricate agreements and systems and to help clients learn from misfortune so misfortune does not come again. Intelligence. Experience. Ingenuity. Cleverness. Tenacity. A deep love for what we do.

It's the way law firms are supposed to be. It's Bowman and Brooke.
