Ms. Brickell is executive managing director and general counsel of H5, which deploys search and measurement expertise and technology to address eDiscovery, data management, and compliance. She advises on legal affairs and corporate strategy. Ms. Brickell was associate general counsel of Altria Client Services, handling product liability litigation and addressing future litigation challenges, from 2000-2008. Ms. Brickell was vice president and deputy general counsel of Philip Morris USA from 1998-2000. Prior to that, she litigated at Davis, Polk & Wardwell in New York, defending commercial, antitrust, securities, and audit malpractice cases. She is on the boards of Lawyers for Civil Justice and The American AI Forum. She has been on the faculty of Columbia University’s Executive Master of Science in Technology Management, teaching Technology and the Law, since 2007 and has taught trial practice courses at the New York County Lawyers Association. Ms. Brickell earned her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Smith College.
