Member Bio
Mr. Thompson is a partner with Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, P.L.C., and has been associated with the Firm since 2003. He is a graduate of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphrey’s School of Law. In law school, Mr. Thompson was on the Editorial Board of the University of Memphis Law Review and Chairman of the National Conference of Law Review. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee state courts and in the United States District Court (Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee).
Mr. Thompson practices in the areas of tort and insurance defense, workers’ compensation defense, and employment law. Mr. Thompson is a member of the Firm’s Tort and Insurance Practice Group and chairs the Firm's Employment Law Practice Group. He is a regular presenter at the Firm's semiannual employment law seminars and has also spoken on employment law and workers' compensation issues to various trade and industry groups. He is a member of the Jackson-Madison County and Tennessee Bar Associations, the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association, and DRI. He also serves as the DRI Workers Compensation Committee liaison to DRI For Life.
Certifications of Specialization are available to Tennessee lawyers in all areas of practice relating to or included in the areas of civil trial, criminal trial, business bankruptcy, consumer bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, elder law, and estate planning and family law.
