Lisa enjoys a close working relationship with her clients. As a litigator for many years, she is passionate about providing quality, cost effective legal services, with a strong focus on risk management.

Clients appreciate Lisa’s extensive litigation experience and zealous advocacy skills. Lisa’s practice includes advising employers and defending them in administrative, federal and state court claims. Her practice also involves advising health care professionals on business practices and confidentiality issues; defending lawyers in professional negligence claims; reviewing and drafting employment contracts; and drafting independent contractor agreements.

Lisa has served on the American Arbitration Association commercial arbitration panel since 1992. She also serves as a mediator and arbitrator for the Arbitration Service of Portland and the Oregon State Bar Fee Dispute Resolution Program. Having litigated cases for many years, Lisa enjoys the opportunity to use her skills as a mediator, arbitrator and facilitator to assist parties in resolving their disputes and helping them avoid the agony and expense of litigation. Lisa’s litigation experience enables her to successfully facilitate internal employment disputes before these internal conflicts escalate into litigation. She also investigates internal employment complaints relating to harassment, discrimination, retaliation and other employment matters.

Lisa has the highest rating (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell for her legal abilities and professional ethics. She is currently Chair Elect of the Federal Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Section and also serves on the Oregon State Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution Executive Committee.
