Bryan is the founder and president of the Garcia Law Group, LLC. He is the Southwest Region Director for DRI's national board of directors. He previously served as the DRI state representative for New Mexico and is a past president of the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association.
Bryan is AV-rated by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review process. He has been selected by Southwest Super Lawyers, as a Rising Star every year since 2012. The Garcia Law Group, LLC enjoys a Best Law Firm's tier 1 rating.

Narrative of Legal Experience:
• General Insurance, Corporate and Governmental Negligence Litigation, including medical and professional negligence. Mr. Garcia has handled more than 250 tort, employment, and contract cases for both private and public entities in all phases of litigation. He has significant experience resolving litigation through various alternative dispute resolution approaches.
• Commercial, E&O Insurance and Professional Liability Litigation
Mr. Garcia has handled more than 50 complex commercial cases, generally regarding insurance agents’ and other professionals’ error and omissions policies and often in the context of larger multi-party litigation on a variety of issues. He has litigated first party and third party insurance disputes and prepared coverage opinion letters. He has represented a local technology company on general matters ranging from employee issues to bankruptcy and receivership.
• Civil Rights and Law Enforcement Litigation
Mr. Garcia has actively defended over 60 civil rights cases through all litigation phases, including trial and appeal. He has prepared many substantive motions on civil rights issues. Mr. Garcia has represented multiple law enforcement entities, correctional facilities and their administrators and officers in various claims from basic torts to civil rights. Mr. Garcia has advised many governmental clients on compliance with the New Mexico Inspection of Records Act and the Open Meetings Act. He has also advised the Governor’s Office on executive and deliberate process privilege.
• Employment Law Litigation
Mr. Garcia has litigated more than 45 employment cases involving Title VII, American with Disabilities Act, Federal Labor Standards Act, New Mexico Human Rights Act, and breach of contract. He has tried employment law matters as first chair at both the administrative and district court level. He has defended a collective action suit under FLSA.
• Federal and State Administrative and Regulatory Proceedings
Mr. Garcia practices in front of New Mexico and federal administrative and regulatory fact finding bodies, including the New Mexico Human Rights Bureau, EEOC, Alcohol and Gaming Commission, Unemployment Compensation Bureau, and Wage and Hour Bureau. He has limited experience with traditional Workers Compensation litigation, but has dealt with Delgado issues in district court.
• Non-Litigation Legal Experience
Mr. Garcia is currently developing a practice assisting physicians and other small businesses in forming limited liability companies and associated start-up issues. He also represented physicians engaged in separating from practice groups. He has represented clients charged with improper service of alcohol.
Personal Narrative:
Mr. Garcia attended the University of New Mexico on a Presidential Scholarship where he graduated in four years with a double major in Economics and Political Science. He also participated in the University of New Mexico General Honors Program and was a member of Mortar Board. During his undergraduate years, Mr. Garcia was awarded two paid internship programs with the federal government. The first was with the Federal Aviation Administration where he participated in long-term strategic planning for the organization. The second was a prestigious internship with the Law Library of Congress where he conducted research on a variety of topics as assigned through the Congressional Research Service or for other customers of the Law Library. When not in Washington, he worked for a stockbroker/financial planner at Solomon Smith Barney.
In law school, Mr. Garcia made the Dean’s list several times and was awarded the Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award. He was a member of Phi Delta Phi and an officer in the Mexican American Law Student Association.
He annually chairs and teaches the Basic Skills program for young defense lawyers and has co-chaired the DLA’s annual Civil Rights Seminar. He teaches a continuing education class for CPAs. He is a member and the state representative for the Defense Research Institute, and is involved in the American Bar Association, National Hispanic Bar Association, and Albuquerque Bar Association. He is the president of LXA Housing Corporation (a not for profit organization).
