Counsel for triathlon coaching company, Hardcoeur Coaching LLC, on all aspects of coaching and athlete agreements and intellectual property protections.

Responsible for defending a series of ERISA breach of fiduciary duty cases for a major insurance company and successfully obtaining dismissal of two related class actions – one on a motion to dismiss and the other voluntarily after discovery closed.

Represented a Japanese automotive parts supplier in a criminal antitrust investigation and related civil antitrust class actions.

Lead counsel for Walter Toebe Construction Co. in obtaining a AAA arbitration award for the unpaid contract balance on a federal construction project.

Co-lead counsel for Federal-Mogul Corp. in two ITC patent infringement trials involving claims of illegal importation of wiper products, resulting in an initial determination of infringement in favor of Federal-Mogul in one matter before both matters were settled favorably to Federal-Mogul following trial in the second matter.

Represented Federal-Mogul Motorparts Division against a Canadian competitor in relation to patent infringement, product disparagement and trade dress claims in both federal court and ITC.

Successfully defended a major workers’ compensation insurance company against RICO and Medicare Secondary Payer Act (MSPA) claims stemming from the denial of worker’s compensation benefits.

Represented AT&T Mobility LLC in patent infringement action in the Eastern District of Texas involving the routing of wireless E911 calls and the District of Delaware involving the sale of digital content, such as ringtones, over the internet.

Represented Federal-Mogul Corp. in a patent infringement action in the Eastern District of Michigan involving friction-welded steel pistons.

Lead counsel for Ford Motor Co. in successful defense of a supplier defamation and tortious interference case, resulting in summary disposition of all claims in pending circuit court action and related arbitration.

Co-counsel for Ford Motor Co. in defense of a multimillion-dollar contract action that resulted in a complete defense verdict following a four-week arbitration.

Co-counsel for ArvinMeritor Inc. in a multimillion-dollar breach of warranty action to recoup costs related to defective tie rod assemblies.

Represented Walter Toebe Construction Co. in a million-dollar construction delay case against the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
