Laura M. Lyons is an in-house claims attorney. She has also worked for a health insurance carrier. Prior to her life as a corporate attorney, she was a litigator at a mid-size firm representing and advising clients in a variety of areas, including civil litigation defense and worker's compensation. She has also handled appellate matters, including appeals to the Labor and Industry Review Commission and the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. She is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and before both the Eastern and Western U.S. District Courts of Wisconsin.

Laura is a Past President of the Wisconsin Defense Counsel. She is a member of the Dane County Bar Association, the Wisconsin Association of Worker's Compensation Attorneys (WAWCA) and the State Bar of Wisconsin. She is also a barrister in the James E. Doyle Inns of Court.

Laura is a co-chair of the Wisconsin State Bar's Annual Car Crash Symposium and a Past President of the Wisconsin Association of Workers Compensation Attorneys (WAWCA). She has volunteered as a mock trial and moot court judge in Dane and Rock Counties.

Laura graduated magna cum laude from Lake Forest College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She graduated from Marquette University Law School. Laura was selected for inclusion as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2012 through 2018.

Laura and her family live in Madison. She was a Big Sister in Dane County's Big Brothers Big Sisters for over 10 years. Laura also is a board member of and volunteers as a coach for the Millennium Soccer Club, which brings affordable and accessible organized youth soccer to Madison’s low-income, ethnically diverse neighborhoods.
