Sergio E. Chavez is a native El Pasoan. In 1998, Sergio graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government with a minor in Spanish. While at UT, Sergio earned Dean's List Honors and also was elected as an officer to the University of Texas Judicial Service Organization and the Phi Alpha Delta International Pre-Law Fraternity.

Sergio attended the South Texas College of Law in Houston and graduated in May of 2001. Prior to joining Rincon Law Group, Sergio worked for an insurance defense firm defending a broad range of general tort matters and for several years managed a solo practice where he handled a broad range of criminal matters, in addition to continuing in civil litigation. In 2009, Sergio joined Rincon Law Group where he focuses his practice in the defense of personal injury claims involving trucking accidents, wrongful death suits, products liability, general negligence, and first party coverage and bad faith insurance claims. Sergio also defends businesses and mid-sized companies in commercial litigation.

Sergio is a member of the El Paso Bar Association, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and DRI. He is married to Adriana and they have three children, Ciana Sophia, Rebecca, and Camila. Sergio has also been involved in organizing community charities for the past several years. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Child Crisis Center of El Paso, and is involved in that organizations annual golf benefit tournament that raises funds for the continuing operation of the center.

Sergio's hobbies include exercising, playing tennis, and most importantly, spending quality time with his wife and three daughters

Additionally, Rincon Law Group lawyers have been authors for various legal publications and featured speakers at national and statewide legal symposiums sponsored by the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, DRI, the Trucking Industry Defense Association, and the State Bar of Texas.

Rincon Law Group works with its clients to develop early evaluation of each case, development of case objectives and acceptable budget parameters. Rincon Law Group serves as panel trial counsel in West Texas for many organizations, including the largest Class I railroad in the world, several large publicly-traded over-the-road carriers and fleet operators, and several national trucking insurance underwriters.
