Alan Peterman has more than 30 years of experience in a variety of litigation. He has represented various entities in defending personal injury claims ranging from slip and fall cases to multi-district medical product liability claims. He is the Firm's client relationship manager for Sears Holding Corporation, coordinating defense of premises liability, auto and products claims through out New York State north of the New York City metropolitan area.

He also represents employers in labor employment and litigation, arbitration and negotiations in both the private and public sector and has appeared before the National Labor Relations Board and the New York State Public Employment Relations Board. Alan has argued labor and employment issues before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and other appellate courts as well as claims in federal and state court.

Using his experience as a general contractor and professional engineer, Alan represents owners, contractors and suppliers in various aspects of construction claims, including mechanic’s liens and construction defect litigation.

Alan also has extensive experience handling transportation matters involving damage claims under the Carmack Amendment and litigation issues between shippers, freight forwarders and carriers. Additionally, Alan has a lengthy Indian law background, representing municipalities in land claim disputes with Native American tribes.
