Member Bio
Practice: Jordan's practice is primarily devoted to civil litigation. He represents various national, regional, local and individual clients. Jordan specializes in several areas of law, including dram shop/liquor liability, construction, wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, insurance, and directors and officers litigation, as well as business & contract litigation. He additionally provides general counsel to several regional and small business corporations. Jordan has also served as a registered Alabama Athlete Agent.
HONORS AND AWARDS
In 2015, Jordan was selected by the Defense Research Institute (DRI) as one of twelve young lawyers from around the country to be sworn in, in person, as a new member of the bar of the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. The swearing-in ceremony took place before all nine (9) justices, with Chief Justice Roberts granting the motion for Jordan's membership.
Jordan obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law. As a law student at Alabama, he served as Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review, and was elected by his peers to the positions of President of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society, Associate Justice on the Student Honor Court, and Student Representative and Committee Chairperson of the Student Bar Association. Jordan also served as a research assistant for the Alabama Law Institute.
Prior to attending law school, Jordan accepted an academic and athletic scholarship to Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina. After his freshman year, Jordan transferred to the University of Georgia where he graduated cum laude carrying a double major in History and Sociology. While at UGA, Jordan earned a position on the Varsity baseball team and was recognized as a scholar-athlete in addition to being acknowledged by several academic and scholarship honor societies.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Jordan is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Mobile and devotes much of his time away from work serving on the Board of Directors for Fuse Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the spark for innovation, funding and implementation of projects benefiting children along Alabama’s Gulf Coast. Fuse Project invests in initiatives promoting the health, fitness, education and social responsibility of children. Jordan also currently serves as President of the University of Georgia's Alumni Association for the Mobile and surrounding areas, as well as Committeeman for the Senior Bowl.
Jordan is an active member of the Defense Research Institute, the leading national organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel. Jordan currently serves on the Young Lawyers Steering Committee to which he has been appointed for successive years since 2012. He has also served as Chairperson for DRI's Expert Database and Social Media subcommittees.
Jordan is a member of the American Bar Association, the Alabama and Florida Bar Associations, Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, and the Baldwin and Mobile County Bar Associations where he currently serves on the Nominations Committee and previously served on the Executive Committees of both the Bar and the Young Lawyers Section of the Bar.
