Previously, Thomas E. “Ted” Dunlap, Esq., was General Counsel and Director of Client Relations at RTI. Prior to joining RTI, Mr. Dunlap was a litigator in private practice, concentrating on civil litigation and coverage matters, assisting a wide variety of clients with maritime, aviation, product liability, general liability, commercial and construction issues.

Before embarking on his legal career, he gained extensive business experience in the marine industry, eventually directing the content and e-commerce merchandising for Boater’s World and Ritz Interactive’s network of marine oriented websites.

Mr. Dunlap is licensed to practice law in state and federal courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia. He belongs to numerous professional legal organizations, including the Maritime Law Association of the United States, and the Bar Associations of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Anne Arundel County. He is the Treasurer of the Maryland State Bar Association's Construction Law Section, a steering committee member on the DRI’s Aviation Law and Corporate Counsel Committees and is active on the Aviation and Admiralty Law Committees of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section.

Mr. Dunlap’s legal, customer service and business management experience combine for a unique background that allows him to fully understand, and help develop bespoke solutions to the complex issues facing RTI’s sophisticated clientele.
