Providing insurance coverage services to the insurance industry, risk management industry, and law firms, regarding all manner of commercial and personal lines claims. Services offered include initial and follow-up coverage opinions; advice on reservation of rights agreements and non-waiver agreements; defending coverage positions; assisting and monitoring coverage and defence counsel in multi-faceted or inter-jurisdictional litigation disputes; providing advice on good faith claims handling; advice on new or revised wording proposals; providing liability opinions on all manner of subjects. In addition, the firm provides opinions on liability claims and strategic direction on matters in litigation.

Heather sits on the Board of Directors of Canadian Defence Lawyers and the Defense Research Institute (where she is the Canadian Region director). She is a member of several sub-committees with both organizations and, additionally, is an active member of the invitation only Federation of Defence & Corporate Counsel and a fellow of the American College of Coverage and Extra-Contractual Counsel.

Heather is the author of many articles and monographs that have been published in academic journals and trade magazines and is a frequent speaker at insurance conferences catering to lawyers and insurance professionals both in Canada and the United States. She is one of the few Canadians who has spoken at the DRI Insurance Claims Symposium held annually in New York.
