Greg Marshall is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP and a member of the firm’s White Collar Defense, Internal Investigations, and Corporate Compliance Practice Group.
Greg joined the firm after spending more than twelve years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, where he served for over eighteen months as Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division. In that position, Greg supervised approximately seventy-five attorneys handling all manner of federal investigations and cases, including international and domestic terrorism, espionage, export enforcement, public corruption, health care fraud, corporate and securities fraud, tax fraud, and money laundering. Greg also served in the D.C. U.S. Attorney’s Office as Acting Chief of the Asset Forfeiture Unit, as a Senior Litigation Counsel, and as a line AUSA in both the Fraud and Public Corruption Section and the Organized Crime and Narcotics Trafficking Section. During his tenure as a prosecutor, Greg directed scores of grand jury investigations, tried approximately forty-five cases, authored fifteen appellate briefs, and argued eight direct appeals. He earned nine U.S. Department of Justice special achievement awards for superior performance.
From 2005 to 2007, Greg served on the adjunct faculty at the University of Virginia School of Law, where he taught Trial Advocacy. Prior to becoming an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Greg clerked for Chief Judge Joseph W. Hatchett of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and worked at Rogers & Wells (now Clifford Chance LLP) in New York City. Greg is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, New York, Connecticut, and several federal courts.
