Nicole Ellis has significant experience in the evaluation and execution of various cases and disputes. Her background includes the successful litigation of both criminal and civil matters, including the handling of over 20 trials. She has defended clients on a wide variety of litigation matters including General Liability, Products Liability, Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Construction Accidents and Defect, Toxic Tort, Malicious Prosecution, False Arrest/False Imprisonment, Breach of Contract, Declaratory Actions, Coverage Issues and First Party defense. Her prior work as an Assistant State Attorney has proved to be especially useful when defending insurance companies against an insured suspected of committing misrepresentation and/or fraud. Ms. Ellis has a reputation for detailed analysis in the evaluation and defense of complex litigation matters, varying from construction accident and defect cases to defect case to insurance coverage issues.

As an Assistant State Attorney for the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office, Ms. Ellis built a reputation for her thorough and aggressive approach to case investigation, preparation and conducting of discovery. During her tenure, Ms. Ellis also trained and supervised the office’s newest attorneys as a County Training Attorney for the Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Crimes Unit.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Ellis worked in the news and entertainment industries, focusing on marketing and production. She carried out college marketing campaigns for Atlantic Records, worked the news desk for Fox News Chicago, was a weekend producer for WGN Radio, and was an associate producer for The Jerry Springer Show.
