Whitney Lay Greene is an experienced civil litigator, practicing primarily in the general liability field. She handles matters in the fields of transportation/trucking law, ride-share litigation, premises liability, and products liability in both state and federal courts all over Georgia. Although Whitney prides herself on the ability to assist clients with matters large and small, she focuses her practice on cases with complex liability and medical causation issues, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims.

Whitney serves clients who manage a high volume of cases, handling files from the initial complaint through final resolution. She has significant experience positioning cases for dismissal on summary judgment and other cost-effective resolution options. In addition, Whitney has taken and defended hundreds of depositions (including medical and non-medical experts), handled over a hundred mediations, and successfully represented clients at both the trial and appellate level. Whitney routinely performs emergency response and on-scene investigation services to her clients following serious accidents. She also offers pre-suit strategic advice including responses to evidence retention requests and settlement demands. Although Whitney relishes opportunities to be in the court room, her primary goal is to assist clients in developing strategies for efficiently and effectively resolving claims at the earliest stage.

Whitney serves on the Steering Committee of the DRI Trucking Law Committee and is also a member of the Marketing Committiee for the DRI Women in the Law Committee and a member of the Retail and Hospitality Committee.

In 2020, Whitney was recognized for her exemplary legal service as a recipient of the Outstanding Service Award by McLane Company, Inc., one of the largest distributors to grocery, convenience, and foodservice providers in the U.S. This award recognizes outside counsel for outstanding legal work and service in their representation of McLane.
