I am a client-focused litigator who has the primary goal of obtaining the goals my clients' seek. As someone who has practiced as a solo, in a small law firm, and now in a large law firm, I am uniquely positioned to understand the entirety of the litigation process. This experience allows me to understand my client's needs and to anticipate, rather than react to, issues they face. I strive to provide first-class client service and top-notch representation.
As an associate in Steptoe & Johnson's litigation department I routinely represent law enforcement personnel, governmental entities, insurance companies, corporations, and industry professionals. I have experience in defending clients against both individual claims and against certified class actions. I work out of both the firm's Charleston, WV office and the Lexington, KY office.
I am also a speaker on issues surrounding civil rights laws and defenses. I have spoken at various venues including the Kentucky State Police Academy and the National Business Institute's police liability seminar.
