Daniel Peterson is counsel in Parker Poe’s Professional Negligence and Product Liability Defense practice group. He focuses his practice on complex civil disputes with an emphasis on defense of personal and property injury and municipal liability.

Prior to joining Parker Poe, Daniel served as an assistant city attorney in the Charlotte City Attorney’s Office. He represented the city, its officers, and employees in a diverse portfolio of cases that included police liability, wrongful death, employment issues, property damage negligence, negligent intersection design, and constitutional litigation. He served as lead or sole defense attorney for the city on nearly 80 lawsuits in federal and state courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the N.C. Court of Appeals.
