As a Pennsylvania native, Mr. Harris graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1976 from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Urban Studies. He earned his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law, 1980.
A shareholder with Fineman Krekstein & Harris PC in Philadelphia, Mr. Harris accumulated more than 30 years of experience in complex civil litigation specializing in the trucking industry and insurance coverage matters.
He was a prolific author publishing dozens of articles on various aspects of insurance, commercial litigation and the trucking industry and lectured frequently on those and other topics. He devoted generous amounts of time in service to the legal profession and to maintaining the integrity of the civil justice system.
He was a member of DRI for almost 30 years, serving for a term on its Board of Directors, as a member or chair for 20 of its committees and task forces, and authoring 14 articles for DRI publications including a chapter of a DRI TRIA submission to the U.S. Congress. He was a member of the DRI Foundation and in 2006, he was the recipient of DRI’s Davis Carr Award as its outstanding committee chair.
In addition to DRI, Harris was a member of numerous defense bar organizations including IADC, ABOTA, FDCC, Pennsylvania Defense Institute, Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel, and Transportation Lawyers Association.
He was deeply involved in his community through leadership in such organizations as ACE for the Cure, the Center for the Advancement of Cancer Education, and Katie at the Bat.
